Pompey to face Bristol City

The FA Cup third round draw took place at 14.15pm today, this will be the first round where we will begin our campaign to defend the cup.

Pompey were the first team drawn out of the hat, and we will be facing ....... Bristol City at Fratton Park. Not quite the Spurs or Scummers draw we were hoping for but maybe next round?

Bristol City are currently sitting at 14th in the Championship, losing 2-0 at the weekend to last year's fifth round oppositions Preston.

It seems that it may be an easy start for us, but like any team, we must not under-estimate them.

Former boss Harry Redknapp lead Pompey to an FA Cup victory last season, the first time since the infamous 1939-1946 holding of the cup during the Second World War.

Slightly further down the beach, to the chav-riddled side of the south coast, the scummers were drawn at home with Man Utd. I can't see the scummers having the same luck as we did last season!
